Chicken Breeds What kind of chickens? There are many other great resources out there on breeds of chickens. What are the best breed of chickens for laying eggs?? Everyone will tell you something different. Everyone has their own favorite. The best way to decide is go to the feed store and see what they have in stock and look at the pictures they have on the walls of the different breeds. They all will lay eggs. I personally have seen double yolks only from my Rhode Island Reds.
